Meet Marvin McKinney

C.E.O. and Founder

At a very young age, I took on a fascination with science fiction and the power of technology to accomplish impossible things moving the needle forward for humanity. That is where my journey to learn more beyond the surface of what is in front of you began.

A decades-long journey that took time and commitment, becoming a data analyst revealed my calling and brought me to the forefront of technological innovation and process development. By working as a business analyst in various capacities, I've been able to develop my craft and expand my knowledge into vast areas of data mining and data implementation. Now transitioning as a data scientist, I am excited to bring my knowledge and creativity to you.

As an expert in SQL, Python, and PowerBi I evolved to learn the true benefits of these platforms to businesses across industries and the gap in accessibility. By harvesting the data from your business operations we are able to look to the past and take control of your future.

Savvy Analytics was born from a passion to learn and share knowledge, helping businesses achieve beyond their current methods and developing new strategies that support growth, efficiency, and sustainability. An advocate for small to medium businesses, I am beyond motivated to bring the power of data and the insights of analytics to my clients as we champion a future dominated by success.

Dispelling the myth of big budgets and complex business strategies, Savvy Analytics helps you leverage the potential in your data to form a new channel of knowledge. In the end, our goal is to support your business goals with valuable data and customized techniques proven successful to help increase your profits and scale your business.

Career

2019 - 2022

AustinCSI

As a Senior Data Analytics Consultant, I've worked with many clients to develop automation processes to increase productivity. As a technical lead, I worked collaboratively with clients and teams to analyze data, identify trends, and make critical decisions that led to an 89% decrease in data retention per test and a 95% increase in data processing speeds per test.

2018 - 2019

Xome Labs

Primed to seek out patterns, being a financial analyst at Xome Labs I was responsible for developing financial models for data gathering and reporting. A necessary tool when making quarterly and annual decisions, the forecasting tools I put into place would go on to help support my team by increasing productivity, improving reporting, and streamlining data forecasting for overall success.

2017 - 2018

GM Financial

The data team lead, I was directly responsible for data extraction, aggregation, and analysis reporting to stakeholders. Identifying important factors that would impact retail, lease, and other collateral, my time as a data analyst gave me the experience to quickly and effectively identify trends and patterns that would inform future strategy.
